The classical world vision of the Celtic warrior, ferocious, impetuous, bosatful and flamboyant still lingers on, long after the submission of the larst Celtic tribe to the Imperial Roman army. The ten-part resin model depicts a Gallic warrior at the time of the Conquest of Gaul (60-60 BC). He wears a sagum which also doubles as a bedroll and is brandishing a boar shaped carnyx (war trumpet). His hair is enhanced with limewash in accordance with Gallic custom.
