X0-04 120mm The Geisha - Japan 1850 £34.35
A professional entertainer trained in the traditional arts and manners, the Geisha was one of the most endearing figures to emerge from 17th-century Japan, the epitome of feminine grace and elegance. The 1860s were the golden age of the Geisha when her stoic and daring stance during the troubled Meiji era gave her a dashing and romantic image later invoked by the term “Meiji Geisha”. The eleven-part resin figure depicts the Meiji Geisha dressed in her formal spring attire. A scenic bridge is included in the kit.
